Terry, Thanks for another interesting adventure. I know it is premature to start expecting the next big story, but could you publish your anticipated delivery dates on your next Spellmonger adventure? Thanks!
In what book is the spellmonger going to realize that he can already use the pocket stone to magically move people? Create a pocket like his closet with two doors anchored to movable objects with a sympathy stone to open both doors at once. I've been expecting it since they made the first supply rod
Minanlan has already thought of using the pocket stones to transport people, but unfortunately they have determined that living matter that goes in comes out dead.
Doesn't another book reference that he will eventually learn how to preserve the enneagram to figure out this one?? I looked for the passage and could not find it.
“Now you and snowstone have permanently altered the balance of power – real power, not the stuff King Rard thinks he’s playing with,” she added, derisively. “Your dalliance with the Grain of Pors has exposed you to a whole new dimension of magic. Your experiments with the pocketstones will eventually grant you incredible power, once you work out how to transfer the enneagramatic matrix through the portal spell without stripping it. And you’ve just begun to explore what can be done with the other stones.”

In fairness it was Taren that reported that anything live put into a hoxter pocket came out dead - he didn't specify that it was an enneagramatic issue - we are only assuming that this is what is killing living matter.
The interesting thing would be if Undead could be put in a pocket without stripping the enneagram. You can obviously put in a paraclete which is basically a replicated enneagram so is the issue with the enneagram being attached to living matter or is their some other variable?
I figured the hoxter suppresses the engram which kills a living thing but a paraclete has the engram embedded in something more robust than living flesh. Which if true would mean you could pocket undead.
It could also be that placing living things in Hoxter pockets is the equivelent of placing things in a vacuum. And that - in addition to the eneagram stripping issue is what kills living matter.
The other question is why does it kill living creatures and disease and not affect seeds and such. Is it only the more complex eneagram's that are adversely effected?

DeleteThat's if they close the pocket, he did setup a room in his office that he can walk in and out of. That was at the beginning of Enchanter I believe.
DeleteActually High Mage

Delete@Dwayne WILSON - You are correct.
Delete@Ryndal Briga said it one of the times they were in his head, I think. I know Briga said it, just not where and when she did.
