Overpriced Spellmonger's Honeymoon novella soon up on Kindle.

Yes, you read that correctly.  I'm releasing a novella (52000 words) on Kindle detailing Minalan and Alya's unique honeymoon, but I'm overcharging for it.  Why, you ask?  Not because of petty greed - I want to use it to allure more readers, at first, and to do that I have to put it at the 70% pricepoint of $2.99 for awhile to enroll it in all the nifty sales promotions.  Therefore anyone who isn't a hardcore Spellmonger fanatic should wait a bit until the price comes down.

As novellas go, it ain't bad.  Is it worth the price?  I doubt it (my SOP for pricing tends to be based on word count and time invested, and the fact I like to keep my stuff affordable - I figure 20k words is worth a buck, if it's quality.  By that token alone The Spellmonger's Honeymoon is overpriced by a buck).  But as soon as the promotions are done I'll reduce it to a reasonable price, and then also anthologize it at the usual low price with plenty of new stuff.  So unless you ABSOLUTELY CAN'T STAND IT (and Ishi bless you, if you're in that camp) you should wait a couple of weeks.

Fair warning.

  1. I fear I may need Ishi's help here.

  2. Oh Terry, this is cruel, do I buy it now or wait for the anthology of wonders? It just makes waiting for the next full length novel that much harder as well, argh.

  3. I absolutely cannot stand it and will willingly pay the $2.99 for any and all Spellmonger stuff.

  4. Huh, was it supposed to be free? Since I just got mine for free, though it said it was originally 2.99

  6. Thank you thank you thank you, it was free in the UK store!!
Your work is inspiring me, I've often found myself going back to read the spellmonger series again &v again. Nothing else at the moment is doing it for me in quite the same way.
    Keep up the excellent work

  7. Does this mean we can expect an anthology relatively soon?

  8. Eh? No, I'll not stress out about 2.99. You need to eat, and my purchase might get you something off of the dollar menu. Then again, Sonic is having half price shakes after 8. Yeah, get a shake instead. ;)
